Jakki exhibited a three-part figure drawing at the Drawing Artists Together show at the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg. Kouffman also showed several several pieces at the annual Morean Holiday Exhibition

Fall 2017

On November 9th, Kouffman presented an art talk at the Dunedin Fine Art Center's Coffee & Conversation series. The lecture recounted the story of her transition from doing stone sculpture and bronze for a year in Pietrasanta - on a grant from her alma mater, Brandeis University - to working in acrylic, pastel and mixed media today.

On November 10 & 11, Jakki taught an acrylic workshop called Acrylic, Meet Your Future Better Half. This course explored how combining color with liquid mediums, solid gels and opaque pastes helps to magnify sheen, transparency, texture and chromatic brilliance in acrylic painting.

Kouffman won 1st Place at the Dunedin Fine Art Center juried show, On Your Mark, which opened on September 22, 2017.

On Saturday, December 2, she participated in DFAC’s annual Demo Day event. Faculty members in every medium and genre set up their easels and workstations to answer questions from prospective students about upcoming winter term classes. Lots of fun meeting all these prospective students!
